Sunday of St. John Climacus
Saints and Feasts: Benedict the Righteous of Nursia; Euschemon the Confessor, Bishop of Lampasakos
Epistle: Hebrews 6:13-20
Gospel: Mark 9:17-31
To ponder and mediate on: With the rivers of your tears, you have made the barren desert fertile. Through sighs of sorrow from deep within you, your labors have borne fruit a hundredfold. By your miracles you have become a light, shining upon the world. O John, our Holy Father, pray to Christ our God, to save our souls (Kontakion of St. John Climacus).
Challenge: Write down on a list all the people around you that need prayers. Once a week during your prayer time, pray for them.
