March 14, 2012 -- Third Wednesday in Lent

Saints and Feasts:
Benedict the Righteous of Nursia
Euschemon the Confessor, Bishop of Lampasakos

Readings:
Isaiah 10:12-20
Genesis 7:6-9
Proverbs 9:12-18

To ponder and meditate on:
"Through prayer we guard our chastity, control our temper and rid ourselves of vanity. It makes us forget injuries, overcomes envy, defeats injustice and makes amends for sin. . . It will refresh you when you are weary and comfort you when you are sorrowful." - St. Gregory of Nyssa

Challenge:
Today, focus on what comes INTO your heart. If you get into a disagreement with someone, just try to let it go. This is difficult, but worth the effort! Moving on can help prevent an argument from becoming a bigger issue. If we let anger, judgment, or resentment enter our heart, we will not have room for love, patience, or forgiveness.

Plan to attend the Liturgy of the Pre-sanctified Gifts.
